Extract of Arctic Lichen
The active ingredient of Arctic Lichen combats the bacteria responsible for causing cavities. It removes bacteria that sticks to enamel and penetrates deeply into teeth to remove bacterial residues and stains caused by food and drink. Arctic Lichen also stops plaque from forming.
Fluoride ions
Enamel that is rich in fluoride is more resistant to cavities, because it makes enamel less soluble and more resistant to attack from acids in the mouth.
BlanX® contains sodium monofluorophosphate and sodium fluoride to reinforce enamel, helping re-mineralisation.
Non-abrasive silica
The abrasivity of toothpaste is measured according to its potential to remove part of the surface enamel during normal brushing (Relative Dentine Abrasivity-RDA; an industry standard scale).
Whitening toothpastes often have a high RDA between 100 and 150. While these may show fast results, they can have harmful long-term effects.
